Mass shooting in El Paso

This has been a truly awful day.  Crying, anxious, stressed, heartbroken ... you name it, I've felt it.  I've talked to people from all over the country today ... of course, they've been watching TV.  So far, I think the count is 20 dead.  It's unbelievable.

I lived in this part of El Paso for years.  Mom and Dad built a home here, my younger brother graduated from high school here, I raised my son here, I spent many hours at the Barnes & Noble here.  I haunted Cielo Vista Mall.  The stores, restaurants, and movie theater.  When I bought a house, I had to move out of the area because I couldn't afford the homes in this area.  I know this place like the back of my hand.  I still go to this Walmart and the Sam's next door.   A few short years ago I quit going to malls and most stores on Saturday.  I could go during the week ... it was less crowded.  I'm thankful for that today.  Because if I was still going to malls, that's the one I would have been at.

I hope tomorrow is a better day.
